Active Older Adults

Older adult wellness programming is one of the fastest growing areas especially in aquatics, fitness, and strength training. These programs will help older adults maintain independent healthy lifestyles. Our AOA programs (age 50 & older) will help you not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Come visit us and join in the fun!

Functional Strength Balance & Flexibility

Strength, balance and flexibility are essential in maintaining a comfortable, independent life. This class will provide you with the tools necessary to improve your daily life in these areas including coordination, posture and range of motion.

Mon/Wed 9:30–10:15am, Free for members!

Y Wellness Walkers

You can walk your way to fitness! The benefits of regular brisk walking include reaching or maintaining a healthy weight, strengthening your bones and reducing the risk of or managing a number of conditions, such as high blood pressure. Join us weekly for a casual, no pressure stroll. During the winter, members are invited to walk inside on the treadmills or the perimeter of the gym. As weather permits, walkers will meet in the lobby and venture onto the Erie Lackawanna Trail.

Mon/Thur 10:30-11:15am, Free for everyone. Members only allowed to use YMCA facilities.

Adult Sports

Sports, fun and exploring new interests aren't just for the young. Along with improving health, whenever teamwork is involved, there's the added benefit of being connected to others. That's why you'll find a range of recreational activities at the Y. With something to offer everyone, there's no such thing as being too old to get in the game.

Men's Basketball 

summer basketball champion5 on 5 officiated basketball league featuring games played with two 20 minute halves in a round robin format. Must be at least 18 years of age. Can have up to 10 on a team. Single elimination tournament will finish the season. Make your Thursday nights basketball night! Congratulations to our Summer Tournament winning team: Taskforce!

Fall League 
Season will run August 24-October 19 with playoffs & championship games to follow. 

Indoor Volleyball

  • 7:30-9:00PM Tuesdays beginning Tuesday, September 5 and continuing through October 31
  • NO OPEN VOLLEYBALL September 25th due to gym floor refinishing

Co-Ed Adult Softball

18 and over Co-Ed softball league where games will be 7 innings or 1 hour long (whichever comes first). You can roster up to 16 players with a minimum of 5 women on the team. The league is a recreational league and sportsmanship is very important. Games will be played on Wednesday evenings at the baseball fields located in Central Park. Roster and payments are due at the time of registration.


Youth Sports

New Early Bird Registration Pricing for Youth & Toddler Sports! Beginning in July 2017, we will offer early bird registration pricing for our youth & toddler sports. Post-registration fees will be in place after the registration deadline. Sign up early and save!

When kids play Y-Sports, they develop more than skills—they develop character. Instructors and coaches—often volunteers, including many parents—model fairness and hard work while emphasizing teamwork, cooperation, and developing good values in our non-competitive programs. Our volunteer coaches recognize achievements large and small and understand that winning is not just about the score. By playing sports, kids and their families feel a sense of belonging that comes from a community gathering together to cheer on their team. Everyone plays, everyone wins!

Fall Basketball for Toddler & Youth

  • Post Registration: On or after August 27, 2017; Post Reg Fee: $60 Members; $85 Non-Members
  • Session Dates: September 9–October 21, 2017
  • Divisions: 2/3yr, 4/5yr, K/1, 2/3, 4/5/6 grades
  • Practice dates for 2nd-6th grade only on Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 pm in the gym
    • September 6th, 13th, 20th (No practice on the 27th); October 4th, 11th, and 18th
  • Saturday times for the following age groups practice for 30 mins and play for 30 mins.
    • 2/3 year old: 9-10:00am
    • 4/5 year old: 10-11:00am
    • K/1st grade: 11:00am-12:00pm
  • 2nd -6th grade will play a game on Saturdays. It will be an 8-10 min. warm-up 4 quarters which are played for 8 mins each. The clock is a running clock, which means it doesn't stop and a half time of 5 mins.
    • 2nd-6th grade game time is 12:30-1:30pm

Soccer for Toddler & Youth

Soccer is an indoor sport played in the gym.

  • Early Bird Registration: Now through October 14, 2017; Fee: $50 members; $75 non-members
  • Post Registration on and after October 15, 2017; Fee: $60 members; $85 non-members
  • Division: 2/3 yr, 4/5 yr, K/1st, 2nd/3rd, 4th/5th/6th grades
  • Season: Oct. 28-Dec. 16, 2017 (No games Nov. 25)
  • Parent meeting-Oct. 18, 2017 at 5:30pm
  • Coach meeting-Oct. 18, 2017 at 6:00pm
